One of the objectives of Stage 2 is to teach efficient ways of approaching advance music. Students should be able to learn the music in the minimal amount of time in order to focus the majority of practice time on performance. This will prevent students from viewing piano as a burden and minimize dropouts.

Scales & Techniques is one component of Certificate of Merit testing. The various exercises must be executed from memory under 5 minutes. In this project, I show how this can be accomplished by using visual spatial recognition to calculate notes instead of reading them.
